Group Counseling

Groups can play a crucial role in both personal development/ healing and sport performance. They provide a safe and understanding environment where individuals facing similar challenges can gather to learn skills, share experiences, and provide empathy, encouragement, and guidance to one another. The group environment offers a sense of belonging, reduces feelings of isolation, and promotes healing and personal growth. For sport performance specifically, groups can enhance motivation, accountability, and camaraderie among athletes. They offer a space for athletes to discuss challenges, seek advice, learn stress management techniques, set goals, and celebrate successes, ultimately improving performance outcomes. Whether for personal development/ healing or sport performance, support groups provide invaluable emotional support, validation, and inspiration.

Stress Management Support Group for Athletes

 Stress management support groups specifically designed for athletes can be instrumental in promoting overall well-being and optimizing performance. These support groups offer a space where athletes can openly discuss the unique stressors they face, such as performance anxiety, pressure to succeed, and managing expectations. By sharing their experiences and listening to others, athletes can gain valuable coping strategies, emotional support, and practical techniques to manage stress effectively. These groups also provide a supportive community that understands the challenges faced by athletes, fostering a sense of belonging and reducing feelings of isolation. Workshops

Therasports offers dynamic and engaging Mental Health Awareness & Performance Workshops for sports teams and groups. Through structured experiences, group discussions, and interactions, participants increase their awareness of mental health and its influence on sports performance. 

 The workshops empower athletes to evaluate their current mental health and develop strategies for continued well-being. By the end of this program, participants will acquire a range of benefits that apply to everyday life and adulthood. They will develop a better understanding of the importance of mental health and gain valuable stress management skills. These newfound skills will not only support themselves but also their teammates, fostering a healthier and more supportive environment overall.

 Additionally, Therasports provides seminars tailored to sports teams and schools. Alma leads them, and they are more of an introduction and lecture-style format. Alma will share her knowledge, insight, and expertise with the audience. In a seminar, participants are not expected to be actively engaged as they would in the small group workshop.
