Dominique’s Therapuetic Approach

With more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in school and clinical settings, Dominique believes that meaningful counseling begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration. She takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered approach, creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Dominique works alongside clients to help them navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and develop practical skills that promote lasting emotional well-being and personal growth.

Educational Background

Dominique earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology before pursuing graduate training in counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Georgia. Her doctoral research focuses on helping student athletes navigate the unique pressures of sport while supporting their mental health, identity development, and overall well-being. She is currently licensed in Georgia and Texas.

Sports Background

  • Former basketball, track, and cross-country athlete. 
  • Earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology while remaining active in collegiate intramural sports. 
  • Continues to embrace an active lifestyle through strength training and personal fitness. 
  • Doctoral research focuses on the mental health and well-being of student athletes. 
  • Brings personal athletic experience together with clinical training and research to support athletes at every stage of their journey. 

Outside of the Office

Outside of counseling, Dominique enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, listening to music, especially live performances, and traveling to experience different cultures and perspectives. She is energized by connecting with people from all walks of life and believes that every person has a story worth hearing.
